Nigeria, July 27 -- President Bola Tinubu has vowed to give the Super Falcons a grand celebration upon their return from Morocco, where they secured the WAFCON title for an impressive 10th time on Saturday.

The Super Falcons staged a remarkable comeback at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat, recovering from a two-goal deficit to beat the host nation Morocco 3-2 and claim the 2024 title.

The match saw Morocco take an early lead with goals from Ghizlane Chebbak in the 12th minute and Sana Mssoudy in the 24th minute, but Nigeria responded with fervor in the second half.

Esther Okoronkwo sparked the resurgence by converting a penalty in the 64th minute and later assisted Folasade Ijamilusi for the equalizer in the 71st minute.
