Nigeria, Oct. 4 -- Fear has gripped residents of Bishewa village, near Zambufu in the Lafiagi Emirate of Edu Local Government Area, after armed bandits stormed the community in a late-night raid and abducted a woman.
Eyewitnesses said the attackers, numbering about ten, rode into the village on motorcycles, shooting sporadically to instil fear before seizing their victim.
The abducted woman's son, who narrowly escaped the assault, said he was the intended target but was away on a community patrol when the armed men arrived.
