Bangladesh, July 15 -- The World Bank has imposed 10-month debarment sanctions on Beximco Computers Limited following an investigation into collusive practices under a major digital development initiative in Bangladesh.

Advertisement To this effect, sources have said, the WB issued a 'Notice of Uncontested Sanctions Proceedings' to the company of the embroiled Beximco Group on June 23 last.

The Economic Relations Division (ERD) on July 6 sent the WB notice to key ministries, government agencies and project authorities, asking them to take necessary follow-up action.

According to the WB notice, Beximco Computers faces a proposed "debarment with conditional release," carrying a minimum period of ineligibility of 10 months.
