Dhaka, June 11 -- The 43rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB), one of the leading private commercial banks in the country, was successfully held.

At the meeting, shareholders unanimously approved a significant decision to double the bank's authorized capital, a strategic move aimed at further strengthening the bank's long-term growth prospects and capital base, according to a media release.

The AGM was held on Thursday (11 June 2026) at 9:00 AM at Kurmitola Golf Club in the capital, Dhaka, and was chaired by Chairman of the Board of Directors of UCB, Sharif Zahir.
