Dhaka, May 31 -- Two more children died of measles-like symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours.

During the same period, the total number of reported cases reached 1,377, BSS reports citing Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) data released today (Sunday).

A total of 1,324 suspected measles cases were reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of suspected cases recorded to 70,936 since March 15.

During the last 24 hours, 53 cases were confirmed as measles, raising the total number of confirmed cases since March 15 to 9,049.

Since March 15, a total of 56,886 patients with suspected measles were admitted to hospitals, while 52,841 patients recovered and were discharged.
