Bangladesh, Oct. 6 -- Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Saida Shinichi has stressed the need for a transparent and sustainable relationship between business and politics to support long-term economic development, calling upon business leaders to focus on industrial diversification and upstream industries to generate employment opportunities for the youth.

"We are heading towards the diversification of industry to create millions of workplaces for youngsters. You should target upstream industries," he said while addressing the members of the Japan-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JBCCI) at the 21st Annual General Meeting on Sunday evening.
