Dhaka, Aug. 12 -- To keep the price of rice stable, the government has allowed 15 trading organizations to import 26,000 tonnes of rice from India through Hili land port.
Deputy Assistant Officer of the Quarantine Department of Dinajpur Hili Land Port Md Yusuf Ali said on Tuesday that rice import activities from India will start through the Hili Land Port from Wednesday.
President of Dinajpur Hili Land Port Import-Export Workers Group Md Ferdous ur Rahman said that the import decision was taken after a meeting between the Hili Land Port Import-Export Workers Group and the Clearing & Forwarding Association this afternoon, reports BSS.
