Dhaka, May 7 -- Executive Director of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) Iftekharuzzaman has met with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

The meeting took place on Thursday afternoon at the Prime Minister's Office in the Secretariat, according to Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon.

He said, "The executive director of TIB met with honourable Prime Minister Mr Tarique Rahman. They discussed necessary measures to make the country free from corruption."

"The honourable prime minister stated that his government's policy is to maintain a strict stance against corruption."

Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani was also present during the meeting, reports bdnews24.com.
