Dhaka, Feb. 27 -- Three members of a family sustained burn injuries after a fire broke out from a gas leak at a house in the Narinda area of Old Dhaka early Thursday.

The injured were identified as Moktar Bepari, 55, Mosammat Selina Akter, 45, and Mohammad Selim, 33. They were admitted to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

The victims were rescued in a burnt condition and taken to the emergency department of the burn institute around 1:00 am on Thursday, where they were admitted.

Assistant Professor Dr. Shawon Bin Rahman, resident physician at the institute, said the three victims were brought from Narinda with burn injuries caused by a fire. Moktar Bepari sustained burns on 22 per cent of his body, Selina Akter on 20 ...
