Dhaka, Aug. 11 -- Members of the Doctors' Association of Bangladesh (DAB) have successfully treated Ariful Islam, a boy who became paralysed after an accident in 2023. His mother had sold her land to pay for his treatment at Shaheed Sohrawardy Medical College and Hospital in Dhaka.
Upon learning about the family's struggle, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman instructed the Amra BNP Poribar to provide assistance. After three months of treatment, on August 11, 2025, a team led by Dr Parvez Reza Kakon - Assistant Health Secretary of BNP's Central Committee and Member Secretary of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) Rehabilitation Committee - visited the hospital.
