Dhaka, March 20 -- Followers of the Sureshwar Darbar Sharif in Mymensingh's Gauripur upazila celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr on Friday, a day ahead of the rest of Bangladesh, aligning their observance with Saudi Arabia.

The main Eid congregation was held at 9:30 am at the Bahadurpur Nurmahal Sureshwar Darbar Sharif premises in Ramgopalpur union of the upazila.

The prayers were led by the Darbar's khadem and imam, Md Sekandar Ali Sureshwari.

A special munajat was offered after the prayers, seeking peace and well-being for the muslim ummah..
