Stocks extend gains for second day on bargain hunting
Bangladesh, July 28 -- Stocks ended higher on Tuesday as bargain hunters continued accumulating fundamentally strong and selective shares, encouraged by optimism surrounding the ongoing quarterly earnings season.
The benchmark DSEX index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange rose 60.49 points, or 1.04 per cent, to close at 5,900.
The capital bourse extended its rally for a second straight session as easing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and growing optimism over strong sector-specific corporate earnings boosted investor confidence, prompting broad-based buying across the market, according to EBL Securities.
