Dhaka, July 31 -- Nuruddin Md Sadeque Hossain has resigned as the managing director (MD) of Southeast Bank Limited, citing health reasons. He submitted his resignation to the bank's chairman on Monday (July 28), according to a press release received today.
Earlier, on May 4 this year, the bank's board of directors had placed Mr Hossain on a three-month forced leave, which was scheduled to end on August 4. During this period, Additional Managing Director Mr Abidur Rahman Chowdhury has been serving as the acting managing director.
Mr Hossain was appointed managing director of the bank on April 5, 2023. Prior to that, he served as the bank's deputy managing director (DMD).
