Dhaka, Feb. 11 -- Members of a joint security force have recovered six hand bombs abandoned in Bagerhat.

Md Masum Khan, chief of Bagerhat Sadar Model Police Station, said the bombs were recovered in the wee hours of Wednesday near a sluice gate in the Harikhali area of the town.

However, no one was arrested during the drive. The bombs were later defused, reportsbdnews24.com.

OC Masum Khan told reporters, "Acting on a tip-off that hand bombs had been kept in the Harikhali area, a team of the joint forces conducted a raid there. During the operation, six abandoned hand bombs were recovered from a plastic pail buried underground."
