Dhaka, March 18 -- Several people have been injured after the Nilphamari-bound Nilsagar Express, carrying homebound Eid travellers, derailed in Bogura's Adamdighi Upazila.

Most of the injured were travelling on the roof of the train, police say, reports bdnews24.com.

Pakshi Railway Superintendent of Police Mehedi Hasan said that nine wheels of the train headed to Chilahati derailed near Satian village around 2pm. Around 40-50 passengers on the train suffered mild injuries from the incident. As the area has only a single set of train tracks, other services on the route have been suspended.
