Dhaka, July 7 -- Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman has invited Prime Minister Tarique Rahman for an official visit to Saudi Arabia, marking another step toward strengthening bilateral relations.

The invitation was conveyed Monday when Saudi Ambassador in Bangladesh Abdullah Jafar H. Bin Abiyah paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister at the Secretariat and handed him invitation letter from the Crown Prince.

The development was announced later at an emergency press briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser, Humayun Kabir.
