Dhaka, Nov. 1 -- The Rajshahi University (RU) Syndicate has approved a mega development project proposal worth around Tk 35 billion (3,500 crore) for improving the university's infrastructure and enhancing advanced research facilities.

The approval came at the Syndicate's 543rd meeting, held on Monday with Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Saleh Hasan Naqib in the chair. The information was confirmed in a press release, issued by Prof. Dr. Akhtar Hossain Mazumder, administrator of the Public Relations Office.

RU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Dr. Main Uddin said, "We have submitted a proposal that includes developing several new halls, academic buildings, and research centres."
