Dhaka, Aug. 24 -- Workers of a garment factory blocked the road in the capital's Tejgaon on Saturday morning protesting against closure of the factory without prior notice.

Police said employees of Posh Garments gathered at the Tibet intersection after 10am on Sunday when they found the factory shut without prior notice.

They then took to the streets, halting traffic from Mohakhali to Saat Rasta. They barricaded both sides of the Mohakhali-Tejgaon road at Tibet intersection around 11:00am, leaving vehicular movement suspended and causing immense suffering to commuters.

A clothing factory named 'Posh Garments Ltd.' was closed on Thursday (August 21, 2025) without prior notice.
