Bangladesh, Aug. 20 -- The country's ready-made garment (RMG) industry has the potential to generate 1,768 megawatt-peak (MWp) of electricity from rooftop solar with an investment of US$188.2 million, according to a study.

Advertisement The study also identified 509 factories that are investment-ready and can install rooftop solar using their existing usable roof space without external support, helping meet part of their electricity demand amid persistent energy shortages.
