Dhaka, Aug. 9 -- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Saturday predicted rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind over the country in the next 24 hours, commencing 9:00 am.

"Light to moderate rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Mymensigh and Sylhet divisions," said a Met office bulletin issued in Dhaka this morning.
