The Election Commission (EC) Thursday announced the schedule for election to the presidency by the newly elected Members of Parliament.

Senior Secretary at the EC secretariat Akhtar Ahmed rolled out the election schedule at the Election Commission Bhaban at Agargaon in Dhaka.

According to the schedule, the last date for submission of nomination papers is August 13. Voting will be held on August 20 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at the Jatiya Sangsad (National Parliament) session hall.
