Dhaka, June 13 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has arrived in the coastal resort city of Cox's Bazar for a daylong tour focused on development projects, environmental initiatives and public engagements.

Braving heavy rain, the premier landed at Cox's Bazar Airport aboard a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at 9:55am, according to his Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman, reports bddnews24.com.

He was received at the airport by State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Rashiduzzaman Millat, State Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs and Land Mir Md Helal Uddin, State Minister for Jute and Textiles Shariful Alam, District Commissioner Md Abdul Mannan and other officials.
