Dhaka, April 25 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has called for a skilled, accountable and people-focused administration to build a "desired Bangladesh", urging officials to see themselves as servants and friends of the public.

The PM made the call on Saturday at an event in the Bangladesh Institute of Administration and Management (BIAM) auditorium in Dhaka's Eskaton, reports bdnews24.com.

He said they serve as the link between policymaking and implementation, adding that their integrity, efficiency and accountability are key to government success.

Highlighting the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution, Tarique noted that the era of artificial intelligence and automation requires officials to stay ahead of the curve.
