Dhaka, Aug. 19 -- Pathao, one of the country's leading ride-sharing platforms, has rolled out a new feature called Pathao Connect, designed to make offline rides safer and more reliable for users, according to a media statement Tuesday.
Announcing the launch, the company said that while ride-sharing apps have brought structure and safety to urban transport, a growing number of people still rely on off-platform rides. Industry estimates suggest that more than 60 per cent of daily bike rides in Bangladesh now take place outside ride-sharing apps-leaving both passengers and riders vulnerable due to the lack of tracking, verification, and protection.
