Dhaka, May 18 -- The Newspaper Owners' Association of Bangladesh (NOAB) has announced a five-day holiday for Eid-ul-Adha from May 26 to May 30.

No newspapers will be published from May 27 to May 31, NOAB said in a notice sent to its members.

Muslims in Bangladesh are to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha on May 28 as the crescent moon of Zilhajj was sighted in the country on Monday evening.
