Dhaka, March 14 -- The newly elected committee of the Electronics Safety and Security Association of Bangladesh (ESSAB) was formally inaugurated with a pledge to promote electronic safety and security in the country.

The handover ceremony of the new executive committee was held, followed by an 'Iftar and 'Doa' mahfil on Friday at a city hotel, organised by the ESSAB.

Dr Mehdi Amin, Adviser to the Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, attended the programme as the chief guest.

Special guests of the programme were Director General of Fire Service and Civil Defence Brigadier General Mohammad Zayed Kamal and Member of Parliament Khandaker Abu Ashfak (Dhaka-1).
