Dhaka, Nov. 18 -- A crisp winter morning at Rajshahi University's (RU) Agriculture Faculty turned into a vibrant celebration of tradition as the warm aroma of freshly made pitha filled the air.
With the theme "Him-him shiter batas", the Agronomy and Agricultural Extension Association hosted the lively "Nabanna and Pitha Utshab 1432" on Sunday (16 November).
The day began with the symbolic harvesting of paddy at 9am, marking the inauguration of the festival. The age-old rural custom of celebrating the arrival of new rice-Nabanna-came alive on the campus, drawing students, teachers, and visitors to the Agriculture Faculty premises.
