Dhaka, June 10 -- As part of MTB Foundation's project titled 'Climbing for Climate, Building for Communities - A Climate Resilience Initiative of MTB Foundation'.

MTB Foundation recently commemorated World Environment Day 2026 by inaugurating project 'Nobo Neer', a Climate Resilient Housing (CRH) initiative in Guthia, Ujirpur, Barishal, according to a press release.

The coastal communities of Barishal, especially Ujirpur, remain most vulnerable to climate related impacts such as waterlogging, salinity intrusion, and extreme weather conditions. These challenges repeatedly damage weak housing structures, disrupt livelihoods, and increase financial and safety risks for marginalized families.
