Migrant rights groups reject 'repackaged syndicate' in Malaysia recruitment
Bangladesh, Aug. 31 -- The memeber organisations of the International Migrants Alliance (IMA) Bangladesh Chapter expressed grave concern over the government's newly announced 338-agency recruitment framework for manpower export to Malaysia, terming it a "repackaged syndicate" that threatens fair competition and worker safety.

The coalition urged both the Bangladeshi and Malaysian governments to reject all syndicated recruitment structures and grant equal access to all licensed agencies and verifiably exclude agencies linked to past recruitment malpractices or the former regime.
