Dhaka, June 8 -- A petition has been submitted to file a case of "negligence" against former chief adviser to the interim government Dr Muhammad Yunus, former health adviser Nurjahan Begum, and three others over the deaths of children from measles.

Kishoreganj-5 MP Mujibur Rahman Iqbal filed the application in the court of Dhaka's Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Jashita Islam on Monday, bdnes24.com reports.

The plaintiff's lawyer, Salahuddin Laskar, said that the application for the case has been submitted, but a hearing has yet to be held.
