Dhaka, April 16 -- Md. Monzur Mofiz has been appointed as the Managing Director of Premier Bank, on the basis of the Board of Directors' decision and with the approval of Bangladesh Bank, for the next three (03) years.

His appointment has been effective from April 16, 2026. Prior to this, he had been serving as the Managing Director (Current Charge) of the bank since December 14, 2025, according to a media release.

Commenting on the matter, the Chairman of the bank, Dr. Arifur Rahman, said, "Md. Monzur Mofiz is enriched with extensive experience in the banking sector. We believe that his capable leadership will further strengthen the position of the bank and play an important role in achieving sustainable growth."
