LOAB directs LPG traders to follow BERC prices amid consumer complaints
Bangladesh, Oct. 1 -- The LPG Operators Association of Bangladesh (LOAB) on Thursday strongly directed its member companies, distributors, dealers and retailers to sell LPG at prices set by the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC).
The LOAB press release, signed by its President Mohammad Amirul Haq, stated that there is no shortage of LPG in the country and imports are sufficient to meet domestic demand.
Bangladesh imported around 156,000 tons of LPG in September, which is only 2,000 tons less than the import volume of the previous month of August, when around 158,000 tons of LPG were imported, the LOAB observed.
