Dhaka, Oct. 31 -- A Supreme Court lawyer has served a legal notice on several government authorities, demanding the suspension of the contract between the Ministry of Railways and Shohoz, the private vendor responsible for Bangladesh Railway's online ticketing services.
The notice seeks action within seven days, citing public inconvenience and lack of transparency in the agreement.
The notice also urges the government to cancel the fully digital e-ticketing system and reinstate a manual ticketing option alongside a limited electronic system managed by the railway's own technical team.
It further calls for full public disclosure of the contract's terms and conditions.
