Dhaka, Aug. 25 -- Kishoreganj University students have staged a second day of protests, locking the vice-chancellor's office, registrar's office and several departmental rooms at the temporary campus inside Gurudayal Government College.

On Monday, they declared a "complete shutdown" until their demands were fulfilled, reports bdnews24.com.

The students called for construction of a "permanent campus, an end to administrative paralysis, and guarantees of security".

They said they were being deprived of basic facilities expected at a public university, citing a lack of laboratories, limited classrooms, and disruptions during examinations since classes share the same building with Gurudayal College.
