Dhaka, March 4 -- Jahangirnagar University (JU) has declared a 19-day holiday on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Shab-e-Qadr, Jummatul Bida, Eid-ul-Fitr, and Independence and National Day. The decision was announced in an official notice signed by Acting Registrar Dr A B M Azizur Rahman.

According to the notice, all classes and examinations will remain suspended from March 10 to March 26. All academic and administrative activities, including weekend and evening programmes, will also remain closed during this period.

As March 27 and 28 fall on Friday and Saturday, respectively, academic and administrative activities will formally resume on March 29.
