Dhaka, April 7 -- Jatiya Sangsad on Tuesday passed a series of bills aimed at converting ordinances issued during the interim government period into formal laws, marking a significant step in regularising recent legislative measures.
The bills were approved during the morning session on the tenth day of the first session of the 13th Parliament through voice votes, after being placed by the respective ministers. As no amendments were proposed, the bills were passed without debate.
Among the key legislations, Water Resources Minister Shahiduddin Chowdhury Annie moved the Haor and Wetland Conservation Bill, which was subsequently passed by voice vote.
