Dhaka, Aug. 1 -- Jhenaidah Journalists Forum (JJF), Dhaka has elected its new leadership for a two-year term from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2027.

The election was held on Friday at the JJF's annual general meeting in the Maulana Akram Khan Auditorium of the National Press Club, according to a press release.

Mehadi Hassan Palash, assistant editor at the Daily Inqilab, has been elected president, while Shahnaz Begum Poly, senior sub-editor at Desh Rupantor, was elected general secretary.

Other office bearers elected on voice vote include Md Kobir Hossain of Kalbela as vice-president, Md Ziaur Rahman of The Financial Express as joint secretary, Shahnewaz Khan Sumon of Kalbela as organisational secretary, Md Masum Billah of Desh Rupantor...
