Jet fuel price hiked by 10.3pc
Bangladesh, Oct. 7 -- The country's energy regulator has adjusted the price of Jet A-1 aviation fuel for both domestic and international flights upward by around 10.3 per cent with effect from Thursday.
The enhanced jet fuel price will remain effective until further order from the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC), a press release issued by the commission stated on Wednesday.
The revised rates were determined based on the average published Platts rate for Jet A-1 between 5 September and 4 October, the US dollar exchange rate considered in Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation's (BPC) letter of credit settlement and other relevant cost factors, it stated.
