Dhaka, Feb. 12 -- Candidates of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami have won all four parliamentary seats in Satkhira district, according to unofficial results announced after vote counting.
In Satkhira-1 (Tala-Kalaroa), Jamaat candidate Izzat Ullah, contesting with the party's scale symbol, received 220,330 votes from all 168 centres. His nearest rival, Habibul Islam Habib of BNP's paddy sheaf symbol, bagged 190,985 votes. Izzat Ullah won the seat by a margin of 25,626 votes.
In Satkhira-2 (Sadar), Muhaddis Abdul Khaleque of Jamaat secured 260,423 votes from 180 centres, while BNP candidate Abdur Rouf received 114,332 votes. Khaleque won by a landslide margin of 146,091 votes.
