Islami Bank chairman Zubaidur Rahman resigns
Dhaka, May 24 -- Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC Chairman Prof Dr Zubaidur Rahman has resigned.
He submitted his resignation letter on Sunday, local media reports.
Bangladesh Bank appointed Rahman as an independent director of the country's largest Shariah-based bank in July 2025.
He was later elected chairman of the bank and had been serving in that capacity since then.
At the time of his appointment, economist Ahsan H Mansur was the governor of the central bank.
