Dhaka, March 21 -- Iran has allowed a limited number of cargo ships to transit the Strait of Hormuz, according to the Financial Times.
Earlier, Lloyd's List reported that a Greek-owned bulk carrier was permitted to pass through the strait with its Automatic Identification System (AIS) turned on, the first such transit since Mar 2.
Shipping data shows that at least six vessels unloaded cargo at Khomeini Port in Khuzestan province and crossed the strait between Mar 15 and 16.
