Dhaka, Aug. 17 -- Air Vice-Marshal Md Mostafa Mahmud Siddiq, chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), on Sunday hoped that international flights from Cox's Bazar Airport will begin partially by mid-October this year.

"Today, we inspected the progress of the second terminal of the airport and the runway constructed over the sea. It appears that by mid-October, it will be possible to operate international flights partially from Cox's Bazar Airport," he said.

The CAAB chairman said this while talking with reporters after visiting the airport, reports BSS.
