Bangladesh, July 28 -- The government has appointed Hossain Sadat, FCS, as a commissioner of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) for a four-year term.

With his appointment, the capital market regulator got its full panel of commissioners.

A notification issued on Tuesday said Mr Sadat was appointed under Section 5 of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Act, 1993. His tenure will take effect from the date he assumes office.

The appointment is subject to the condition that he relinquishes all employment and professional affiliations with other institutions and organisations before assuming office.
