Dhaka, June 1 -- The scorching heat of the summer is making public life difficult. No respite from the heat is expected any time soon as the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast the mild heatwave sweeping over five divisions will continue.

The Met Office said in its forecast that light to moderate rain and thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind and lightning flashes is likely at a few places over the Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over the Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Barishal divisions, bdnews24.com reports.
