Dhaka, Sept. 17 -- The High Court has questioned the legality of Election Commission (EC) moves that changed constituency boundaries in Faridpur and reduced the number of constituencies in Bagerhat district from 4 to 3.
It issued a rule to the Election Commission and other respondents to explain why the gazette notification altering the boundaries of Faridpur constituencies should not be declared illegal. The Election Commission (EC) Secretary and other relevant officials have been asked to comply with the rule within 10 days.
