Bangladesh, July 30 -- Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Bangladesh has appointed Alamgir Morshed as its new country manager, effective from July 16, 2026, according to a press release Thursday.

HBL Bangladesh, one of Asia's leading regional banks with a presence across multiple international markets, said Mr Morshed brings more than three decades of banking and financial services experience, with expertise in commercial banking, treasury, financial markets and development finance.

The bank said his leadership experience and knowledge of the financial sector are expected to strengthen HBL Bangladesh's commitment to delivering value to its clients and stakeholders.
