Dhaka, May 26 -- The government is set to bring about major changes in the existing 'Toll Policy 2014' to make the country's toll-management and-collection systems time-befitting and more effective.

To this effect, a 12-member committee has been formed to review the decade-old toll policy and suggest necessary amendments to it, according to official sources.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges has assigned the committee, headed by Additional Secretary (Urban Transport) of the Road Transport and Highways Division, to complete its review process and submit a comprehensive report by May 31, 2026.

It has been granted the authority to co-opt additional members, if necessary, to facilitate its work.
