Bangladesh, Aug. 18 -- The government will purchase two more cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for delivery in August and September at a combined cost of Tk 18.51 billion, including taxes and duties.

Advertisement The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase gave its nod to the purchase proposals at its meeting on Monday.

According to the proposals placed by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, the government will purchase the two LNG cargoes from BP Singapore Pte Ltd through the international quotation process under Rule 105(3) (ka) of the Public Procurement Rules, 2025.
