Bangladesh, Oct. 15 -- The Local Government Division (LGD) has directed the suspension of all types of tenders and procurement processes for government works until the necessary rules are formulated under the Public Procurement (Amendment) Ordinance, 2026, and a new rate schedule is published.

The directive was issued in a circular today (Thursday) by the Local Government Division under the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, BSS reports.
