Govt plans 5 new LNG terminals by 2035
Bangladesh, Sept. 16 -- The government plans to build five new liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals by 2035 to boost gas supplies for industrialisation as domestic natural gas production declines rapidly.

The planned facilities comprise three floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs) and two land-based LNG terminals, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Aninda Islam Amit said at a meeting with top business leaders and senior journalists at the Secretariat on Monday. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman chaired the meeting.
